Sir, Is there a maximum term for leasing the private registered land? If not, can a private Thram holder enter into a lease agreement for a term of more than 30 years?
Dear Sir, There is no maximum term for leasing the private registered land. But for your information, the lease agreement copy between the parties should be shared with NLCS. Thank you.

Sir, as per Land Act and Rules therein, the land registered in the name of Gyalrab Dratshang cannot be transacted but such land can be mortgaged or leased. In this regard, I would like to know whether the Ownership to the land in the name of Gyalrab Dratshang can be transferred to another person or entity in case such land has been mortgaged and the land has to be sold to another person or entity due to default in payment of loan.
Dear sir,As per the section 136 of the Land Act 2007, no third party or individual can engage in any type of transaction if the land is registered in the name of Government institution or Gerab Dratshang.
