Inquiry: I would like to know when NLC would issue new thram to me for our family land. First cad-astral survey measured excess of 25 acres and a re-survey to adjust and make the total land holding to 25 acres was done many years ago. Looks like still there is issue of excess land as NLC has not issued new thram to us? Please let us know who is responsible now to adjust the land area and issue new thram to us. thanks

Dear sir, there are only three Dzongkhags that are yet to receive their new lagthram(Tsirang, Sarpang and Paro). If your land is under one of these Dzongkhags then the Secretariat is doing everything to issue the new lathram as soon as possible. However, if your land does not fall under these three Dzongkhags then there might be issue of exceeding the land ceiling of 25 acres. Therefore, we advise you to put up an application to your concerned Dzongkhag Land Sector to resolve the matter at the earliest.Thanking you
