Inquiry: Dear sir and madam,Since my land is aquired by govt agency. I was asked to look for substitute land with in gewog. Finally I got one within the gewog but local authority says it is booked for setting up of hospital and at presently BHU GRADE 1 hospital is just one away from there. . Moreover land has been kept like that for more than 15 years and till now nothing has done. When asked about it with local authority. They says it is reserved. My question is that can local authority hold govt land for so many years without doing anything.

Dear sir, we would say that in the interest of general public even private land can be acquired by government. And if the concern land had been reserved for some purpose in the interest of the general public and that activity is genuinely going to materialize then we would suggest you to look from different location. To ascertain whether there is any development activity in plan for the said location that you are looking into we suggest you to check with Dzongkhag Administration. Thank you!
